Day 6 alternate: Killarney-Dingle

A day trip to the Dingle Peninsula to see the rugged Blasket Islands and the ancient Fahan Beehive Huts on Slea Head. The return to Killarney includes a visit to the historic South Pole Inn – a pub opened in 1927 by Kerryman and unsung Antarctic Explorer hero Tom Crean – ending with a visit to the splendid Inch Beach.

Overnight: Killarney

Day 7: Train to Galway

Train to Galway (6 hours with 1 change, 4 – 5 hours with 2 or 3 changes)  and walking around seeing sites of Galway.  (The train also stops in Ennis – although getting from Ennis to Doolin would have to be figured out.)

Overnight: Galway

Day 8-9: Overnight on the Aran Islands

Galway Tour Company would probably drop you in Doolin and pick you up there the next day (noonish).  You would be able to see the Cliffs of Moher – I believe on the return. (I have used them before to pick someone up in Doolin who was arriving into Shannon, then had a private taxi to Doolin.)
